Industry MOOVS; MOOVIN’ UP – “KB THACRAZYGUY” – Spring 2012
KB THACRAZYGUY is from south side Jane Street, Toronto. He has been in the Canadian Music Industry since he was born in the 80’s. This was due to the fact that his father was a DJ. KB has always had an ear for music an a great ability to create it as well. So with these ingredients, putting together beats and creating instrumentals was very attractive and natural to KB.
MOOV: “As an entrepreneur, what challenges or obstacles did you come across and how did you
overcome them?”
KB: “My challenges included having no support, having no money, no food at times, and having to deal with real life issues. Like the death of my friends, all while trying to run a business. I overcame all of this with faith. Spiritual Energy provided by the Creator.”
In 2005, a friend of KB’s was murdered in front of a church. And it gave him the motivation, to not want to be another statistic. Instead he wanted to be an example for the people in his area to have hope and to set goals and pursue them.”
KB THACRAZYGUY has crazy beats! This is why his name is so fitting. KB is an Artistic Producer and Creative Entrepreneur, his services include recording, composing, arranging and writing music.
MOOV: “Why do you feel that your business is important?”
KB: “Music Production is a staple in the entertainment industry. Artists need good production they have to compete and stand out. My business provides artists with their own unique sound.”
MOOV: “What Makes your Music Production Unique?”
KB: “My thought process involves combining a variety of instruments; drums, everyday life and emotions together. Which all create a sound that doesn’t follow any trends.”
Things that inspire KB’s drive and hard work are his brothers and sisters, his people and the Creator. KB is currently working on building a resume of commercial song placements and collaborations with a variety of artists.
MOOV: “What are your greatest accomplishments or proudest moments in your entrepreneurial journey thus far?”
KB: “I did a track for Tek of Boot Camp Clik and received a placement during NCAA finals in 2007. I still have proud moments every time someone likes my music.”
MOOV: “Do you have a team you would like to mention?”
KB: “Southside Jane, H.I.T.M. Entertainment but overall everyone I associate with is family.”
MOOV: “What wise advise can you give up-and-coming entrepreneurs in your field?”
KB: “Don’t give up. If you have a dream hold onto it and defend it; because if you give up, what was the point of starting it in the first place?”
MOOV: “What’s your next MOOV? What can we expect from you in the near future?”
KB: “The Next moov is travelling and continuing to make more music.” ~
